The European Union in the United States

Some 96,000 of you joined the European Union Embassies in Washington, DC, for a day of family fun, food and culture. Free shuttle buses with two routes will dropped off visitors at various Embassies. This year the EU highlighted the theme GREEN EUROPE: GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY AND THE ENVIRONMENT. We wanted to show, through our own experience, that it is possible to tackle climate change, grow a clean energy economy of the future and become world leaders in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20% by 2020.
