European Commission Speaks Out Against Holocaust Deniers' Conference

European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security Franco Frattini today denounced the "Review of the Holocaust" gathering in Tehran, Iran. "I want to express publicly my shock and indignation in relation to the Conference on the Holocaust being held these days...[and] my firm condemnation of any attempt to deny, trivialize or minimize the Shoah, war crimes and crimes against humanity.… As Vice President of the Commission in charge of Fundamental Rights, I wish to restate today the Commission's firm condemnation and rejection of all manifestations of anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia."
