EU Proposes Regulatory Cuts of 25
Percent
The European Commission has put forward a plan to cut the
regulatory burden for companies in the EU by 25 percent by the year
2012, which could lead to a 1.5 percent jump in EU GDP and
investment for growth and new jobs worth 150 billion euro. The new
proposal, to be implemented jointly with EU Member States, would be
part of the Union's ongoing “Better Regulation” initiative.
