EU Proposes Regulatory Cuts of 25 Percent

The European Commission has put forward a plan to cut the regulatory burden for companies in the EU by 25 percent by the year 2012, which could lead to a 1.5 percent jump in EU GDP and investment for growth and new jobs worth 150 billion euro. The new proposal, to be implemented jointly with EU Member States, would be part of the Union's ongoing “Better Regulation” initiative.
