EU, U.S. to Cooperate on Environmental Research and
"Ecoinformatics"
Under a new agreement concluded by the EU and the U.S.,
scientists and researchers from Europe and America will work closely
together to address common environmental challenges through research
and "ecoinformatics," or information science in ecology and
environmental science.
The new bilateral research framework will bring together
scientists involved in policy analysis research to consider such
topics as environmental information systems and modeling, health and
environment questions, sustainable chemistry and materials,
nanotechnology and environmental technology, and air quality
management.
