EU COMMISSION PRESIDENT TO
VISIT PRESIDENT BUSH IN WASHINGTON IN MID-OCTOBER
European Commission President
Barroso will meet President Bush for a meeting and
lunch at the White House on 18 October 2005. President
Barroso and President Bush will discuss a number of
political and economic issues on the
transatlantic agenda,
including strengthening of cooperation to support freedom
and democracy in the Broader
Middle East and North Africa,
to increase prosperity and economic development around the
world and to advance global trade negotiations under the
Doha Development Agenda.
