AMBASSADOR JOHN BRUTON VISITS WASHINGTON, DC-AREA HIGH SCHOOL

Ambassador John Bruton took some tough questions on the European Union and its policies today, but this time his challengers were not working under a deadline. They were high school seniors at Georgetown Day School who are beginning study on the EU in their Comparative Government class.

"I could have been at a press conference. The questions were extremely sophisticated," said Bruton.

The Ambassador plans on visiting more high schools in the DC-metro. area during his tenure in Washington, as he says face-to-face interaction with the next generation of American leaders is vital to the future of the EU/US relationship.
