Study in Europe

  • Study in Europe: Up-to-date information on 32 European countries, their universities, and what it takes to live and study there.
  • Erasmus Mundus: Information and scholarship opportunities for multi-university masters courses in Europe.
  • EU Fulbright Grants: Funding opportunities through the US Department of State's Fulbright Program.
  • Fulbright-Schuman Grants: Financial support for highly qualified professionals to undertake studies or training on the opposite side of the Atlantic, in areas of specific relevance to the EU-U.S. relations.

EU Lesson Plans and Other Resources for Teachers

  • Grades 9-12: Ten modular lessons with PowerPoint presentations designed to support history and social sciences curricula in the US.
  • Grades K-12: Lesson plans for all ages, compiled by the EU Centers of Excellence.
  • TeachEurope: Seminars, workshops, and information about the EU, its multicultural nature, its economy, role and impact on today's world and its relations with the US.
  • EU Teachers' Corner: A one-stop resource for a wide range of teaching material about Europe.
  • Free Publications: Up to 50 copies of EU publications may be ordered for classroom use.
  • Electronic versions of our publications may also be downloaded free of charge.

Europe Day in America: A program of lessons and student-led activities to celebrate Europe Day, May 9.

Interactive EU Maps: Basic facts and figures on all European countries, including information on the country’s political system, history, economy, geography, and traditional food.

Euro Challenge: An annual academic contest organized by the Delegation that provides an opportunity for American high school students to learn about the EU and the economies that share its single currency.

Post-Secondary Resources

European Union Centers of Excellence: EU-funded programs devoted to the study of the EU at universities across the United States.

European Union Studies Association: Educational, scholarly, and professional association devoted to EU affairs.

European Union Depository Libraries in the United States: A network of depository libraries across the US providing access to official EU publications; topics range from policy developments in all sectors of EU activity to statistics on trade, demographics, agriculture, transport, energy, and economic indicators.

EU Delegation Grant Programs

In addition to the EU Centers of Excellence, the EU Delegation provides funding for initiatives across the United States that increase awareness and understanding of the European Union and promote ties between the U.S. and Europe.

Policy, Research and Debate Grants: Offers support to think tanks and other public policy research centers for activities that encourage policy research and debate about EU-US relations.    

Getting to Know Europe Grants: Funds programs that promote a greater knowledge within local and regional communities in the United States of the EU, its international role, and the value of the EU-US transatlantic partnership.
