The Press Team of the Press & Public Diplomacy Section is the EU Delegation’s link to journalists,
editors, producers and other media representatives throughout the United States.
The Press Team provides breaking news, background information and in-depth analysis
on the latest developments in the European Union. The Press Team also informs the
press about the European Commission’s policy positions on a broad range of issues
central to the transatlantic relationship
Services offered include news releases and materials, press conferences and
other media events and this online press room.
The Press Team also informs the European Commission in Brussels about significant
political developments in the United States and about the portrayal of the European
Union in the American media.
News Releases
EU News Releases focus on matters of special interest to the US media. Releases
are issued electronically via email and are also posted in the online the press
room.
Journalists may be added to the email distribution list on request. Please
